What Makes Kavalan Distillery Unique?

Kavalan Distillery is in Yilan, in north-eastern Taiwan. Its whiskies mature in a humid climate, which shapes how the spirit and the cask interact and contributes to the range's tropical fruit character. The distillery has also developed its own S.T.R. technique (shave, toast, rechar) to refresh wine casks, and its single malts have earned consistent recognition at international competitions.
