Double Malt

Double malt whisky — also called blended malt or vatted malt — is made by blending two or more single malts together without adding grain whisky. This combines the character of different distilleries into a single expression, distinct from both single malts and standard blended whiskies. Notable examples include Compass Box creations, Monkey Shoulder and rare independent bottlings that marry distilleries in combinations no single cask could achieve.
