Sullivans Cove 17 Year Old Cask HH0476 is one of the oldest single cask whiskies ever released by the distillery, distilled on December 16, 2000, and decanted on April 4, 2018, after a maturation period of 17 years and 6 months. Bottled at 47.6% ABV from an American oak ex-bourbon cask, this whisky yielded only 151 bottles. The complexity and texture of this whisky are remarkable, with fresh fruit and grain notes defying its age. It is presented in a unique, handmade solid oak presentation box, accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Master Distiller Patrick Maguire and Production Manager Heather Tillott. This particular bottle is bottle 74 of 151 produced. The nose offers aromas of banana, walnut, crème caramel, liquorice, kumquats, black pepper, camphor, and antique oak. The palate is creamy and sweet, featuring banoffee pie, meringue, macadamias, sweet pastry, toffee apple, and milk chocolate fudge. The finish is long and lingering with notes of vanilla, coconut, preserved fruits, and a malty cocoa line.
