The Macallan A Night on Earth (First Release) is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky, inspired by the Scottish Hogmanay traditions. This release is matured in a combination of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks, alongside American ex-bourbon barrels, creating a rich, sweet, shortbread-like character. Bottled at 40% ABV, it balances festive notes of dried orange, spice, and buttery vanilla sweetness. The nose features vanilla, butter-rich baked apple, baking biscuits, plum, and almond, while the palate reveals soft velvety sweetness reminiscent of shortbread, with vanilla, toasted marshmallow, dried oranges, fig, and cinnamon. The finish is medium-length with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits. Presented in a striking multi-layered gift box with bespoke abstract artwork by Erica Dorn, this release embodies the celebratory spirit of Hogmanay, making it a perfect addition for both whisky drinkers and collectors.
