The Gordon & MacPhail Lochside 1981 40 Year Old is a rare single cask release from the demolished Lochside Distillery. Distilled in 1981 and matured for four decades in a refill sherry hogshead, it was bottled in 2021 at 49.2% alc/vol. Natural in colour and non-chill filtered, this whisky comes from a single cask that yielded only 141 bottles worldwide, making it an exceptional and highly collectible expression from a lost Highland distillery.

Lochside Distillery, located in Montrose, operated from 1957 until its closure in 1992. Renowned for producing both grain and malt whisky, its malts have grown increasingly scarce and sought after following demolition.
