The Hakushu 25 Year Old is a rare and ultra-aged single malt crafted at Suntory’s forest distillery deep within the lush and misty slopes of Mt. Kaikomagatake in Japan’s Southern Alps. Distilled in one of the highest-altitude whisky distilleries in the world and made using exceptionally soft alpine water filtered through ancient granite rock, this expression captures the purity, freshness, and refined herbal character that define Hakushu. A culmination of decades of meticulous craftsmanship, it opens with complex aromas of plum, caramel, and unlit cigars wrapped in quiet forest smokiness, followed by rich layers of crème brûlée, baked pineapple, and fresh sage on the palate, all delivered with smooth precision and balanced sweetness.
