Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey

Eagle Rare 10 Year Old is a single-barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, bottled at 45% ABV in a 700ml bottle. Made from Buffalo Trace's low-rye "Mash Bill #1" — the same recipe behind Buffalo Trace, E.H. Taylor and Stagg — and aged a minimum of 10 years in new charred American oak, it's genuinely unfiltered, single-barrel bourbon, with each barrel hand-selected for consistency. Full-bodied with complex toffee, orange peel and buttery corn character, it's won over 30 awards in the past decade, including five Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition — the only bourbon to ever achieve that feat.
Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Tasting Notes.
Nose: Complex aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak.
Palate: Bold, dry and oaky, with notes of candied almonds and very rich cocoa, layered with spicy vanilla and sweet char.
Finish: Dry and lingering, with a comforting splash of spicy nutmeg and a punch of caramel.
Why Choose Eagle Rare 10 Year Old.
Eagle Rare's origin story genuinely spans multiple American whiskey eras — created by Seagram master distiller Charles L. Beam and introduced in 1975, it stands as one of the last new bourbon brands launched before the current small-batch bourbon boom, later passing through several owners before landing at Buffalo Trace Distillery, widely regarded as the oldest continuously operating distillery in America. It's the only bourbon ever to win the double gold medal five times, a genuinely rare feat reflecting sustained, year-on-year quality rather than a single standout batch. Despite being single-barrel bourbon — meaning each bottle comes from one specific cask rather than a blended batch — Eagle Rare maintains remarkable consistency through careful, discriminating barrel selection, giving drinkers the individual character single-barrel bourbon is prized for without the unpredictability that can come with it. At a genuinely accessible price point for what it delivers, it's widely regarded by reviewers as one of the best value bourbons on the market, best enjoyed neat or over ice to fully appreciate its complexity, and equally at home in a classic Manhattan or Whiskey Sour.
