Bruichladdich Octomore 14.2 is a cask-strength, heavily peated Islay whisky aged for five years. With a maturation process that sets it apart, 40% of the whisky is aged in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, 16% in first-fill Amarone casks, and 44% in second-fill Amarone casks. This unique maturation imparts rich wine and oak influences, which beautifully complement the bold smoky character Octomore is known for.

Octomore 14.2 Tasting Notes

Nose: Leather, prunes, toasted oak, malt, and red fruits, followed by smoke, green apple, and pipe tobacco.

Palate: Wood spices, roasted coffee, and BBQ sweetness, balanced with fruitcake, dried fruits, and black pepper.

Finish: Lingering smoked malt and oak, with hints of sea salt and earthy smoke.
