Yamazaki The Kogei Collection Peated Malt Spanish Oak
The Yamazaki The Kogei Collection Peated Malt Spanish Oak is a limited edition release celebrating The House of Suntory’s dedication to craftsmanship and the Japanese art of Kogei, which values both process and aesthetic as sources of inspiration. Reflecting Suntory’s Monozukuri philosophy, this 2024 debut edition—known as the Japanese Kimono Edition—was created in partnership with Kyoto’s esteemed kimono house, Chiso, established in 1555. The whisky is matured in Spanish oak casks and crafted with peated malt, adding depth and complexity to Yamazaki’s refined style.

Why Add Yamazaki The Kogei Collection Peated Malt Spanish Oak to Your Collection?
This release marks the beginning of The Kogei Collection, combining Suntory’s whisky-making mastery with Japanese artistry. The collaboration with Chiso and its use of the Bokashi-zome dyeing technique create packaging that is as significant as the whisky itself. With its limited availability, peated malt character, and Spanish oak maturation, this expression stands out as both a collectible piece of Japanese cultural craftsmanship and a distinctive whisky from Yamazaki.
