Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength 18th Release
The 18th release of Springbank’s acclaimed 12 Year Old Cask Strength arrives with a fresh twist on its cask recipe. Bottled in 2019 at a robust 54.8% ABV, this edition sees an equal split of maturation between ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks (50/50), diverging from the previous 70% sherry and 30% bourbon mix. As always, it delivers the distinctive, oily character that Springbank fans treasure, now layered with a creamier, more balanced cask influence.
Springbank Distillery
Located in Campbeltown on Scotland’s west coast, Springbank is one of the last remaining distilleries in a region once known as the whisky capital of the world. Family-owned and fiercely traditional, Springbank carries out 100% of its production on site—from malting and distillation to maturation and bottling. This hands-on approach, combined with small batch releases and natural presentation, has earned Springbank cult status among whisky lovers worldwide.
