Mortlach 16 Year Old Flora and Fauna
Part of United Distillers’ celebrated Flora & Fauna series (launched in 1992 to spotlight distilleries better known for blending), this 16-year-old Mortlach is a cult favourite. The bottling showcases Mortlach’s famously robust, “meaty” style with a rich, sherry-led profile—complex, spicy and deeply satisfying—making it one of the standout entries of the entire range.
Mortlach Distillery
Founded in 1823 in Dufftown, Speyside, Mortlach is renowned for its unique 2.81-times distillation regime, producing a dense, weighty spirit prized by blenders and malt fans alike. Its six-still setup and partial triple distillation yield layers of savoury depth and dark fruit character that have earned Mortlach the nickname “The Beast of Dufftown.”
