Matured for 12 years and bottled at 46% ABV, Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a lightly peated single malt from the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. First released in 2016, this core expression is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, offering a classic Campbeltown profile with a balance of sweet, savoury, and smoky notes.
Glengyle Distillery
Glengyle Distillery was originally founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, but closed in 1925 and remained silent for over 75 years. It wasn’t until 2000 that Hedley Wright, the great-great-nephew of William Mitchell and owner of Springbank, revived the site. After extensive restoration, Glengyle resumed production in 2004 under the new Kilkerran label. Today, the distillery continues the Mitchell legacy with traditionally crafted single malts that honour Campbeltown’s rich whisky heritage.
