Kavalan Distillery, founded in 2005 and located in Yilan County, Taiwan, has rapidly become one of the most celebrated producers of single malt whisky worldwide. Its Solist series, known for bold single cask, cask strength releases, leverages Taiwan’s unique subtropical climate to accelerate maturation, creating rich, complex whiskies with exceptional depth. The Vinho Barrique is especially acclaimed, having won multiple global awards including “World’s Best Single Malt” at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.
Nose: Bursting with tropical fruits, dark berries, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, rounded by soft floral tones and subtle spice.
