Crafted exclusively for The Whisky Club, this Hellyers Road release is a vatting of casks laid down in 2014 (Sherry and Port) and 2016 (American oak and Port), bottled in 2024 at natural colour and non-chill filtered. The 2014 component delivers Hellyers Road’s signature orange blossom and rich sherry influence, while the 2016 casks add Port-driven nuttiness, cigar box spice, and depth.
Founded in 1997 in Burnie, Tasmania, Hellyers Road Distillery is one of Australia’s pioneering single malt producers. Known for its pure Tasmanian ingredients and precision in distillation, the distillery has grown from a local operation to an internationally recognised name, earning multiple gold medals and the title of “Most Awarded Distillery” at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards.
Nose: Marmalade, orange blossom, beeswax, plump sultana, and nutty nougat.
Palate: Balanced layers of toffee, gingerbread, cinnamon-stewed apricot, fresh berries, and toasty oak.
Finish: Rich, fruit-driven roundness with a touch of umami, leading to an elegant white fudge finish.
