Hellyers Road Single Cask #3191.04 is an award-winning Tasmanian single malt and one of the finest examples of aged Australian whisky. Distilled on 6 November 2003 and matured for 16 years in a single American Oak ex-bourbon cask, this whisky was bottled at natural cask strength—60.7% ABV—with no chill filtration or additives.
This release was hand-selected by Hellyers Road’s head distiller and was originally reserved to showcase the calibre of the distillery’s American Oak program. However, after earning widespread acclaim—including Australia’s Best Single Cask Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2024—the decision was made to release it in extremely limited numbers. Only 170 bottles were produced, each individually numbered.
Founded in 1999 in Burnie, Tasmania, Hellyers Road Distillery is the oldest operating whisky distillery on the island and a pioneer of Australian single malt. Drawing on the region’s pure water, cool climate, and fine local barley, Hellyers Road has built a reputation for quality, complexity, and consistent cask maturation.
The distillery is especially recognised for its bold cask strength and single cask releases, often characterised by fruit-driven richness, creamy texture, and natural presentation. Hellyers Road continues to lead the Tasmanian whisky scene with award-winning expressions and international acclaim.
Nose: Tropical fruits, marmalade, lime zest, and salted caramel.
