Heartwood Devil in The Detail
A formidable single-cask Tasmanian release, Devil in The Detail was distilled at Tasmania Distillery (producers of Sullivans Cove) in April 2000 and bottled in May 2015. Drawn from ex-bourbon barrel HH0244, it spent 15 years maturing before being released at a staggering natural cask strength of 73.5% ABV. Just 152 bottles were produced, making this an exceptionally scarce piece of Australian whisky history.

Heartwood’s releases are known for their intensity, honesty of cask character, and cult collectability—often selling out on release.
Why Add Heartwood Devil in The Detail to Your Collection?
Between its long single-cask maturation, ultra-rare outturn, and eye-popping natural ABV, this bottle epitomises what collectors love about Heartwood: unapologetically powerful whisky with provenance. For fans of Australian single malt (and Sullivans Cove spirit in particular), it’s a landmark, low-availability release that won’t be repeated.
