Bunnahabhain Distillery
Founded in 1881, Bunnahabhain Distillery is located on the northeastern coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Unlike most of its Islay neighbours, Bunnahabhain is best known for producing unpeated or lightly peated single malts, often matured in ex-sherry casks.
The distillery uses natural spring water from the Margadale River and operates its own traditional warehouse storage on-site. Known for balance and subtlety, Bunnahabhain’s core and aged expressions are consistently praised for their rich, coastal character and elegant, fruit-forward style.
