The Benriach Malting Season series is the first time in a century the distillery has released whiskies made entirely from barley malted on its own historic floor maltings. This exclusive set includes the first three editions of the annual release, showcasing Benriach’s heritage and commitment to traditional methods.
Edition 1, distilled in 2012 and bottled at 48.7% ABV, was matured in bourbon and virgin oak barrels, yielding only 6,672 bottles worldwide.
Edition 2, bottled at 48.9% ABV, continued this style with bourbon and new charred oak casks.
Edition 3, with an average age of 10 years and bottled at 48.3% ABV, was crafted using concerto barley malted in 2012 and 2013, matured in a mix of virgin oak and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Together, these releases offer an in-depth exploration of Benriach’s floor-malted spirit.
