This original Belgrove Oat Whisky is a rare and distinctive small-batch release, crafted entirely on-site by Peter Bignell at Belgrove Distillery in Tasmania. Using oats grown, mashed, brewed, and distilled at the distillery, Peter personally oversaw every step of production, even signing each label by hand. Bottled on 1 September 2014, this unique whisky offers an experience unlike any other in the Belgrove range.

Belgrove Distillery, located in Kempton, Tasmania, is one of the most innovative and sustainable whisky distilleries in the world. Founded and operated by Peter Bignell, Belgrove is renowned for its grain-to-glass approach, growing its own grains, malting on-site, and even firing its still with biodiesel made from cooking oil. Belgrove Oat Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Pale straw in colour, with aromas reminiscent of porridge, slightly sweeter than rye whisky, and showing a noticeable prickle from the higher ABV.
Palate: Dry spice and cereal/oat flavours dominate, offering a robust grain character.
Finish: Medium and warming, opening up in the glass with time and gradually growing on the palate.
